ASAL USUL SUNGAI KOROK

Sg Korok berasal dari sebatang sungai yang telah dikorek pasirnya dan dibina semula dengan simen oleh taukeh Kilang padi iaitu Loh Ah Lien. Lesung padi kilang tersebut memerlukan kuasa air untuk menjalankannnya dan sungai tersebut mengairkan kawasan sawah padi ynag beratus ekar. Menurut seorang guru bersara, En Ghazali Jamsah 58 tahun, perkataan korok sebenarnya adalah berasal dari perkataan korek dan disebabkan oleh lidah orang -orang Jawa (yang telah melarikan diri dari penindasan bekerja di ladang-ladang kelapa sawit), Sg Korek bertukar menjadi di Sg Korok.

ASAL USUL KAMPUNG JALAN BHARU

Pada tahun 1912, jalan tanah merah telah dibina dan batu 6 inci digunakan setelah itu barulah batu dua inci digunakan . Itulah yang dimaksudkan Jalan Bharu .Ketika itu, kereta lembu , kuda dan kerbau masih digunakan .Nenek Hajah Salbiah Binti Ismail ,117 tahun berkata bahawa kereta-kereta lembu telah digunakan untuk membawa tiang-tiang batu pejal untuk mendirikan masjid Jalan Bharu. Tiang-tiang tersebut berusia lebih dari seratus tahun kini.
